About the Instructor
Mohsen Veysi, PhD
Artist | Art Historian | Educator
Dr. Mohsen Veysi is an internationally trained artist, art historian, and educator with over a decade of teaching experience in Italy, Switzerland, the United States, and Canada. He holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, an MFA from the University of Cincinnati, and degrees in Painting and New Media from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, where his deep connection with Italian art and culture began.
Mohsen specializes in a distinctive approach he calls Art History in Practice — an educational method that bridges academic insight and hands-on creation. His work and teaching explore the dynamic interplay between image and text, poetry and painting, theory and practice. Fluent in multiple languages and deeply rooted in both Eastern and Western traditions, he brings a transcultural perspective to everything he teaches.
What makes Mohsen’s courses truly unique is their experiential, embodied nature. He believes that art should not only be studied — it should be felt, perceived, and created in the very places it was born. Whether walking through a Renaissance piazza, sketching beside a Roman ruin, or analyzing artworks inside Italy’s iconic museums, participants in his programs engage with art history on multiple levels — intellectual, visual, emotional, and physical.
This is where art, history, culture, and travel meet.
This is not just a tour.
It’s a transformative artistic journey.
